Secondary Grades 7-12 Philosophy Our program reflects a Christ-Centered educational philosophy in all aspects of academic and extracurricular school life. The goal of every teacher is to lead the students "in the nurture and admonition of Christ." The traditional educational approach emphasizes academic scholarship, personal growth, self-discipline and citizenship. Program Goals
Four years of mathematics and science are strongly recommended for all college bound students with three years required. Students who are not attending college or who are entering a junior college program receive comprehensive course work in all academic areas. Our qualified staff of certified teachers direct their instruction toward the physical, spiritual and mental development of each student. Teaching students to live for Christ in an ever changing, complex society is the goal of Greenville Christian School.
Extracurricular Activities All students are encouraged to participate in the special activities provided by the school. These programs encourage leadership and offer opportunity for social and academic development. A variety of clubs and organizations, as well as interscholastic athletics, are available to secondary students. The upper elementary and secondary students have an active student government association. The school participates in a wide variety of cultural, academic, and athletic activities sponsored through membership in the Mississippi Private School Association.
