Monday, 30 June 2008

The 2008 Lady Saints Softball team starts their fastpitch action this July 25 at 5 pm with an away double-header at Manchester Academy featuring both the A and the B teams in action. Head Coach Randy Butler and Assistant Coach Ted Thornton have been practicing with the girls already this summer and have seen great strides being made by all of the players this summer.

The Lady Saints invite and encourage all Saints fans, friends, alumni and students to visit the campus, or follow them to an away game to cheer the Lady Saints Softball team on to victory. To see this years' schedule, please click on the words "Read More..." below.

Notice From Athletic Director
Written by Phillip Swindall
Monday, 30 June 2008

Dear Parents

As a reminder, summer workouts have begun. Weight training and conditioning in the off season is very important and allows us to focus on football specific drills when the season arrives. This being said, I would like to personally invite all young men in the 7th through 12th grade to join me Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the weight room.

There will be a parents meeting Thursday, July 10th at 7:30 p.m. in the Gym. Support from parents is needed to assure a great season for the team. Also on the agenda will be a work night on the field prior to the season opener and game day needs, i.e., after game meal, half time nutrition and Gatorade.

Immediately following the parents meeting, there will be a booster club meeting. The main agenda of the meeting is to elect a vice president.

Thanks in advance for your support.

In Christ,

Del Thornton

  • OneLitFiref : You shoulda deleted those too at that time.. ha.. oh well, they're gone now! now about that picture...
  • BrotherPhil : actually.... I deleted almost everything from last year and that was basically what was left! LOL
  • OneLitFiref : Woah.. are those "most read" things accurate? How in the world did "Seeking the Truth" make it to one of the most read? man.. I miss Bible, English, and Speech classes. *sigh*
  • turnerburne : brother phil you are smart. but if tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? you wouldnt know brother phil, because you werent there to hear it. ha
  • BrotherPhil : that would TOTALLY depend on the mass and volume of the particular species of wood... if it was a white pine, I don't think 35 cu. in. would equal 700 pounds... however it might equal closer to 1,000 lbs if it were red oak.
  • turnerburne : touche brother phil. but how much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?in 35 cubic feet he could chuck 700 pounds of wood
  • BrotherPhil : no, it ACTUALLY goes: there once was a man from Peru, who dreamed he was eating a shoe, he woke with a fright, in the middle of the night, to find that his dream had come true. - Gary, Spongebob Squarepants' Pet Snail
  • turnerburne : there once was a man from peru, who dreamt he was eating his shoe. and when he awoke, he found that his dream had come true. -Gary, Spongebobs Pet Snail
  • BrotherPhil : Class of 1988 20 year Reunion will be held June 26th, 6 p.m. @ Greenville Golf & Country Club.
  • OneLitFiref : Yay!!! The old colors are back!!! Thank youuuu!! =)
